#HATEFREE: Strengthening the bilateral cooperation between Norway and Lithuania in preventing hate speech and mainstreaming equal opportunities

Purposes: 1) to increase the Applicant’s competence in preventing hate speech and carrying out educational activities about it; 2) to mainstream equal opportunities and non-discrimination principles using good practice, establishing cooperation and promoting mutual exchange with partners from Norway.

Everybody’s Talking: Work-Life Balance Goes Mainstream

Duration: 18th May 2020 – 17th May 2022

Objectives:

  • to review existing legislation on work-life balance;
  • to suggest the course of actions for improvements in national policies;
  • to advocate for necessary legal amendments;
  • to develop and apply mechanisms for work-life balance at the company level;
  • to create a favorable social environment and working culture for better work-life balance;
  • to promote the idea of a shared parental leave;
  • to redefine the definition of modern masculinity and fatherhood;
  • to help the mothers overcome maternal guilt and highlight the benefits of an early involvement by the fathers;
  • to raise public awareness/discussions and promote behavioral changes for a better work-life reconciliation.

#NoPlace4Hate: Improving Institutional Response to Hate Speech in Lithuania

Duration: 4th of May 2020 – 29th of April 2022

Objectives: 1) to establish clear guidelines on processing complaints on hate speech within criminal justice system; 2) to build capacity of competent public authorities; 3) to improve support to victims of hate speech; 4) to increase public awareness on how to recognize and react to hate speech.

Combating Discrimination and Violence on the Basis of Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity through Improved Legal Frameworks and Implementation of European Standards

Duration: 1st of August 2019 – 31st of January 2021

Objectives: to ensure effective protection against discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity, in line with international human rights standards, by identifying existing legal gaps, building capacities of legislators and public policy makers and raising public awareness.

BRIDGE: reinforcing local communities to take action against gender-based violence in their close environment

Duration: 1st September 2019 – 31st August 2021

Objectives:

  • to develop and implement multi-agency algorithm on effective institutional intervention in cases of gender-based violence at local level;
  • to build the teachers‘ and schools‘ personnel capacity to eliminate prevailing gender norms, which contribute to justification and normalization of gender-based violence;
  • to raise awareness about gender-based violence in local communities and enhance a primary prevention of gender-based violence.

Stop Violence Against Women: From (A)wareness to (Z)ero Victims Blaming

Duration: 3rd of April 2017 – 2nd of October 2019.

Objectives: to develop targeted information & implement practical empowerment actions, education activities and awareness-raising to increase understanding of different forms of VAW & stop blaming VAW victims & ultimately contribute to promoting zero tolerance to VAW & strengthening gender equality.

Municipalities’ Success Code – Gender Equality

Duration: 12th of December 2016 – 11th of December 2020.

Objectives: to systematically seek for the gender equality in the municipalities by educating public sector representatives and raising their awareness on gender equality issues, their ability to recognise activities resulting in men and women (in)equality, create and implement targeted measures for guaranteeing equal rights.

Change in Private, Public and Civic Sectors – New Standards for Reducing Discrimination

Duration: 6th of April 2017 – 5th of April 2020.

BREAK! – Overcoming Gender Stereotypes in Europe Through Cross-media Learning

Duration: 1st of January 2017 – 31st of December 2019.

Objectives: The project aims at contributing to overcoming educational and occupational gender segregation by reaching out to young people aged 13-30 through innovative cross-media tools and practices that are up to date with nowadays youth.

#LGBT_LT: Raising Awariness Through Visibility in Lithuania

Objectives: to increase social acceptance of LGBT* people in Lithuania; to raise awareness about remaining legal challenges for LGBT* people; to promote active citizenship among the members of the local LGBT* community with the view of reshaping public discourse on LGBT* issues.

Moving Towards Social Change: Building Knowledge Base and Effective Legislation on Equality and Non-discrimination
