Gender Equality Ruler

The Gender Equality Ruler is a tool that helps public and private sector organizations to assess the gender equality situation in their organization. The ruler also makes it possible to compare the situation of gender equality in different organizations. It can also be used as a monitoring tool to track changes over time.

The Office of the Equal Opportunities Ombudsperson makes a representative sample of the employees. The sample is sent to the employer with request of asking the employees, who are included in the sample, to fill the questionnaire. The answers to the questionnaire for employees are anonymous. The employees must submit their answers in 20 days. The analysis of the responses along with recommendations are sent to the employer.

The responses and personal data collected in the course of tool usage are used solely for purposes of the research and are accessible only for person who conducts the research. The employer bears the duty to receive employee consent for participation in the research. Personal data are deleted after one month since the results of Gender Equality Ruler are provided to the organization.
